GIFTS
The goal of the University of Wisconsin-Manitowoc Foundation, Inc. is to raise sufficient funds to grant one full-tuition scholarship to a student from each of the eight local high schools in Manitowoc County each year.

The Foundation Board raised an initial $200,000 to serve as the base amount for generating interest funds to be used for the scholarships.  It is estimated that the funds will need to yield 8% per year to achieve the goal of awarding eight scholarships, with additional funds necessary to keep the amount awarded in scholarships in line with increasing tuition costs.

We all know that the cost of a college education is rising faster than the rate of inflation.  We also know that education and advanced training are increasingly crucial to success in today's competitive and technological world.

Gifts to the UW-Manitowoc Foundation, Inc. can help make it possible for a deserving student to remain in Manitowoc County for their first two years of college, allowing them to take advantage of the strong support of family and friends as they make the difficult transition to college life.  Students are also able to hold jobs in the local area while attending college.

NAME A CHAIR CAMPAIGN
The Foundation's "Name a Chair" campaign is another way to support scholarships for the youth of Manitowoc County.  For a contribution of $100 to the UW-Manitowoc Foundation, Inc., you will be entitled to a nameplate with a two-line inscription which will be affixed to one of the 350 seats in the recently completed new campus theatre.
