Students who attend UW-Manitowoc do more than just take classes; they actually join the college community through learning opportunities that occur both inside and outside the traditional classroom. In joining our campus, students experience the UW commitment to quality, a special sense of belonging, and the chance to develop relationships that will last a lifetime. Our top-notch faculty use a variety of teaching methods and the small class sizes allow students and faculty to develop close, positive working relationships. Dedicated staff members serve students in areas such as academic advising, financial aid counseling, tutoring, and transfer assistance. Like other university campuses, there are activities such as the student newspaper, intramurals, clubs for several of the majors, student government, and foreign travel programs, but unlike a large university, students get the opportunity to take on leadership positions as freshmen and sophomores. College students of all ages, both full and part-time, have found UW-Manitowoc to be a friendly and supportive environment for pursuing an associate degree - guaranteed to transfer to any other university or private college. Citizens in the Manitowoc area are invited to join us for the many cultural events and programs offered in music, theater, and art. We are also proud to be home to the Blue Devils athletic team and hope you will come and cheer on our student athletes as they compete in men and women’s basketball, women’s volleyball, tennis, and golf. Our campus is situated on the shore of Lake Michigan which makes it one of the most beautiful in the state. With county ownership and state support, cooperative efforts have led to very attractive new and renovated facilities at UW-Manitowoc.
