American Indian Studies Transfer Agreement

A cooperative transfer agreement between the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire and the UW Colleges in American Indian studies allows UW Colleges students who are participating in the UW Colleges Guaranteed Transfer Program to take American Indian studies courses at UW-Manitowoc and make a seamless transfer into UW-Eau Claire's American Indian studies baccalaureate program.

According to the transfer agreement, students will be able to take 12 to 15 credits of American Indian studies coursework at UW-Manitowoc. Some of these credits may be taken through distance education offerings. Upon transfer, students will complete a 36-credit Bachelor of arts or Bachelor of science degree or a 24-credit minor in American Indian studies.

This program will take advantage of both the expertise in American Indian studies throughout the UW Colleges and the degree program in American Indian Studies at UW-Eau Claire. A set of introductory courses are also being developed at the UW Colleges to parallel the beginning courses at UW-Eau Claire.
